The Daily Mail says he is not overly hopeful of signing Andy Carroll from Liverpool.

He is exploring other attacking options as he needs another striker and a winger. The club is also receiving tentative offers for the likes of Carlton Cole while Ricardo Vaz Te is still seeking a new deal.
