West Ham crock Andy Carroll enjoyed a reported booze up hours before his teammates were thumped at Swansea City.
The Sun says Carroll incurred the wrath of fans who spotted him and his friends surrounded by empty lager glasses at his local Speak Easy bar in Epping, Essex.
He stayed with four pals after midnight on Friday.
On Saturday West Ham went down 4-1 to Swansea City leaving them just three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.
The 29-year-old Geordie ruptured ankle ligaments in January.
Fan Luke Neat, 18, who spotted him, said: “It looked like they had had a few.
"All his efforts should be put into getting fit instead of boozing."
