West Ham United are set to face competition from Inter Milan in the race to sign Simone Verdi.
Verdi has so far been impressive in Serie A this season and has struck four goals from 14 appearances for Bologna.
West Ham are one of the clubs that have been monitoring the player and continue to be interested despite having changed managers.
However the East London club could face competition from Inter Milan who could make a January move for the player.
Inter are currently in second place in the Serie A standings and are just two points behind League leaders Napoli.
They will likely be looking to make January reinforcements in order to launch a title push.
Considering that Inter are currently faring much better than West Ham at the moment, there is a good chance that the San Siro giants could be a more attractive option for Verdi.
