West Ham United face stiff competition for Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy.
The Lancashire Telegraph says talks with West Ham over McCarthy's future are believed to have broken down, with the Hammers still considerably away from Rovers' asking price, but the Ewood Park outfit are not concerned over a potential lack of additions ahead of the Premier League run-in.
Monaco are believed to have joined Galatasaray in tracking McCarthy's situation with interest but, with the exception of West Ham, no club has made any official approach for the South African.
Rovers are believed to be wanting close to £3million for McCarthy and sources close to the club understand any agreement with West Ham has become increasingly unlikely.
