West Ham United are eyeing QPR striker Loic Remy.

The Daily Star says Remy was identified as a back-up if the deal for Estudiantes striker Duvan Zapata fell through and the Hammers are now readying a bid to tempt QPR to sell the Frenchman.

Newcastle United are still thought to be interested in taking Remy to the north-east, even after being spurned by the same player in the January transfer window.
