West Ham United are believed to be keen on bringing in FC Dallas defender George John on a short-term deal.
According to the Daily Mail, the English Championship outfit are looking to sign a striker on loan and the 24-year old, who has dual USA and Greek nationality, is attracting interest.
Hammer boss Sam Allardyce is determined to strengthen his squad as the East London club, who sits second on the Championship table, push for promotion to the Premier League.
One of Allardyce's former clubs, Blackburn Rovers, was close to signing John last summer but in the end a deal fell through.
