West Ham eyeing Charlton youngster Solly

West Ham United are chasing Charlton Athletic defender Chris Solly.

The Daily Mail says Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on a defender, with Solly on his radar. Following an impressive 2011-12 season, Solly was voted Charlton's Player of the Year by supporters and selected as Young Player of the Year by the club's management team. He is the first Charlton player to win both awards in the same season since legendary defender Richard Rufus in 1995.
