Tony Mowbray was disappointed with the manner of Middlesbrough's 2-0 defeat to West Ham which ended their unbeaten home record. Boro had won three and drawn six of their league games at the Riverside this season before the visit of the Hammers.
Boss Mowbray said: "It was frustrating as we didn't play particularly well.
"It was one of those nights we huffed and puffed and had a few chances, but I never really sat on the edge of my seat.
"They've got a lot of Premier League experience and I think it showed. They know when to put their foot through it, they know when to clear it, they're big and strong.
"We got in behind them once or twice, but we needed the back of the net to ripple. We'll take it on the chin and move on. Good luck to them."
