West Ham defender Reid tells Pardew: I don't lie. It was no goal

West Ham United defender Winston Reid says he cleared Papiss Cisse's shot before the ball crossed the goal-line for their draw with Newcastle United.

Toon boss Alan Pardew accused the linesman of missing the incident.

But Kiwi Reid insisted: "I am dead honest and I know it wasn't in. My foot was actually on the line and I got the ball away in time, which was good.

"As a defender you are trying to save goals and, fortunately enough, we came off at the end having not conceded any."
