West Ham defender Jose Fonte has hinted Ryan Bertrand could be on the move to Liverpool.

A £75m deal that will take Van Dijk from the Saints to Anfield in the New Year was announced on Wednesday, making him the seventh player to move from the south coast to Merseyside in the last three-and-a-half years.

And when Van Dijk posted an image of him holding his new Liverpool shirt on his Instagram page, a comment from Fonte - with whom he played at St Mary's - seemed to hint that Ryan Bertrand might be the next to make the switch.

The Mirror reports Fonte left a comment tagging in ex-teammate Bertrand with the caption: 'Pleased for you!!! Good luck brother!!! Another one @iamryanbertrand [winking face emoji].'
