West Ham defender Calum Davenport is pleased with his move to Sunderland.
And the former Tottenham centre-half also hopes knowing several members of the Sunderland squad already will help him to quickly settle in.
"Sunderland is a massive club and I'm really looking forward to playing a part in the vital run-in to the end of the season," Davenport told the club's official website.
"I know quite a few of the lads already.
"I've played with Anton, George, Reidy, Steed, Teemu and Marton, so I'm sure that will help me to settle in quickly."
