West Ham United crock Andy Carroll has avoided surgery.
Carroll does not need a heel operation, says the Daily Star.
Experts have told the former Newcastle and Liverpool hitman he can recover through rehab alone. He is already on the comeback trail in Belgium and will complete his treatment in Holland.
It now seems Carroll - who suffered the freak injury in training last week - will return well before the New Year, in a major lift for the goal-shy Hammers.
