West Ham United boss Avram Grant has cooled the link with former Boca Juniors midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme.

The Argentine has been heavily associated with a move to Upton Park and Hammers owner David Sullivan had even worked up a deal for the 32-year old but it is believed that Grant is now unsure.

Riquelme is currently out of contract after leaving Boca Juniors this summer and it was widely tipped he would end up in London but Grant's uncertainty has stopped some traction for the deal.
