West Ham are holding more talks with Manuel Pellegrini about the manager's job today.
The Daily Mail says the former Manchester City manager, 64, is the closest to succeeding David Moyes but there is not yet an agreement or contract signed, despite reports in Chile.
Rafa Benitez has always been West Ham's No 1 choice but Pellegrini was among other options identified by co-chairman David Sullivan.
Pellegrini spent three years with City and won the Premier League in 2014. He also won the EFL Cup twice during his time in England.
The Chilean guided City to their first and only Champions League semi-final in 2016, where they were defeated to Real Madrid.
