The Express reports that West Ham United have started talks with Ajax boss Frank de Boer for the vacant position at Upton Park.
The Hammers' initial enquiry was rebuffed by Ajax but co-chairman David Gold is determined to land De Boer and has reopened negotiations.
According to the report, West Ham want an appointment made before the Europa League qualifiers in early July. The east London club are also believed to be in talks with ex-defender Slaven Bilic.
It has been suggested that West Ham have offered De Boer, who has won four Eredivisie titles with Ajax, much better wages than the £2million he receives yearly in the Dutch capital.
