West Ham concern over Ferdinand court date

West Ham United are concerned over a lengthy absence for defender Anton Ferdinand.

The Times says Hammers boss Alan Curbishley could be without Ferdinand for six weeks. The defender has a hamstring problem, but the club are also concerned about a criminal trial for alleged assault next month.
