West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce is delighted to have added Teddy Sheringham to his coaching panel.
The 48-year-old former England, Manchester United, Tottenham and West Ham striker will initially work part-time on helping Andy Carroll and co.
"I've had a couple of offers since I've been out of the game, which didn't feel quite right, but when this came along, it felt just right for me. I'm delighted to be coming back to the club."
Allardyce is a former club-mate of Sheringham's at Millwall and said: "I rang Teddy up to see if he was interested and he jumped at the chance.
"He brings many things - his experience and knowledge as a player, his technical ability."
