West Ham coach Sheringham feels Man Utd let down Van Gaal in market

West Ham United coach Teddy Sheringham feels Manchester United have let down manager Louis van Gaal in the transfer market.

Sheringham believes United are leaving their business too late in the day.

He told the London Evening Standard: "From his point of view, it was a shame he couldn't do his United business earlier because he was involved with Holland at the World Cup.

"It's a problem for him because he didn't get his new players early like Jose Mourinho did at Chelsea so he knew what he was going to work with. I fully expect him to make two new signings before the deadline but whether he signs the ones he really wants remains to be seen."
