West Ham United defensive coach Wally Downes is confident new signing Wayne Bridge will be better for his run out against Arsenal.
The loan signing from Manchester City struggled to live with Gunners ace Theo Walcott.
But Downed reasoned: "Wayne's got a bit of reservitis. He'd have been better off playing football at Aldershot than for City's reserves.
"He came in on Thursday and ran with the fitness guys - but it's not the same as playing a league game and chasing after the Arsenal all day."
Asked how Bridge pulled up afterwards, Downes replied: "He's f***ed."
