West Ham co-owner Sullivan: We feel badly let down by stadium operators

West Ham co-owner David Sullivan hit out at stadium security after yesterday's multiple pitch invasions in defeat to Burnley.

Home fans invaded the pitch four times before turning their anger towards the directors box and to Sullivan and fellow owner David Gold.

Sullivan told the Mirror: "We feel very badly let down by the stadium operators appointed by the Mayor's staff. Where were the stewards and police?"

West Ham announced after the game, which leaves David Moyes' side deep in relegation trouble, that they have launched an investigation into the incidents.

Their statement read: "West Ham have launched a full and thorough investigation into the incidents which marred the second half of today's match and are committed to taking decisive and appropriate action."
