West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan promised the board will spend money on multiple signings in the January transfer window. Sullivan called for fans to get behind their team in the festive fixtures at home to Arsenal on Boxing Day and West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon.
'Families pull together during tough times, and these are tough times,' Sullivan said.
'The last few months haven't been quite as good as we hoped, but on behalf of the board I would say we will be making signings in January and we hope to rectify the balance of the team, so by the end of the season we're well clear of relegation.'
