Tottenham striker Robbie Keane is increasingly close to joining West Ham United according to reports. The 30-year old Republic of Ireland captain is almost certain to leave White Hart Lane this winter with West Ham emerging as favourites to secure his services.
Clubs such as Birmingham City, Newcastle United, Fulham, Aston Villa and MLS' Vancouver Whitecaps have all showed interested in the former Liverpool and Leeds United man but the Hammers are confident of landing him for a bargain basement price.
It was previously reported that Birmingham were prepared to spend £8million but more recently it has emerged that he could arrive in East London for around half that.
