West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has welcomed their swoop for Swansea City attacker Andre Ayew.
Ayew completed his £20.5million move from Swansea City on Monday and cannot wait to play his first game at the new Stadium.
Sullivan told whufc.com: “Andre is a great player. He was Swansea's leading goalscorer last season.
“He can play all four positions across the frontline and last season when he played as a striker he scored six goals in eight games.
“We have been negotiating with Swansea for over three weeks and are delighted to have secured his signature."
On a busy day of transfer activity for the Hammers, Sullivan was also pleased to see the arrival of talented full-back Arthur Masuaku from Olympiacos for £6.2million.
Sullivan added: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Masuaku and our scouts say he's a top player with Champions League experience."
