West Ham United will seek a striker signing in January.
Hammers co-owner David Sullivan has pledged to bolster the squad in the January transfer window.
He told the Sunday Mirror: "We know we have to strengthen the squad when the window opens.
"We don't have one iron in the fire, we have about 15. Acquiring a striker remains a priority."
On the plus side, the new owners have drastically reduced the debt over the last 11 months.
"We inherited £110million of debt and that figure is now down to £80m. But the repercussions of relegation would be a financial disaster."
