West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan is backing former club Birmingham City to beat the drop.
The former Blues co-owner is worried that his current and former clubs could be in for a tough campaign.
"I would be disappointed if we both didn't stay up this season," said the West Ham joint-chairman to the Birmingham Mail.
"We have been playing better than our league position suggests. But maybe the table doesn't lie. I don't know. Birmingham had a remarkable last season. To finish where they did and to go more than a year not losing at home was incredible.
"Alex McLeish is a good manager and he has used the funds available to him wisely.
"Birmingham seem to have found it harder this season and that can happen.
"I think what has surprised everyone is how well all the promoted teams have done.
"It has upset the whole division and put more pressure on the likes of ourselves and Birmingham.
"I believe Blackpool will begin to slide and go down. But I don't think West Brom and Newcastle United will. Anything is possible."
