West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan insists the club will make new signings in the winter transfer window.
The Hammers are currently languishing in 17th position on the Premier League table which has prompted Sullivan to assure supporters that there will be new faces arriving at Upton Park in January.
"Families pull together during tough times - and these are tough times," he told the club's official website.
"The last few months haven't been quite as good as we hoped but, on behalf of the board, I would say we will be making signings in January and we hope to rectify the balance of the team so, by the end of the season, we're well clear of relegation.
"It's absolutely fantastic we've got into the semi-final of the [Capital One] Cup and - who knows? Not only will we climb the league in 2014, we might have a cup final for everyone."
