West Ham United co-chairman David Gold says Andy Carroll could be back in action by September.
The 26-year-old has struggled for fitness since completing a £15million move from Liverpool to Upton Park in 2013 and has been ruled out since the start of this year with a serious knee injury that required surgery.
Gold tweeted:
Andy Carroll is training hard and getting stronger. We are hopeful that he will be available early September. dg https://t.co/ZXS0TAeubg
