West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has no doubts about the quality of Victor Moses.

Moses made his Hammers debut in victory over Newcastle United.

Gold wrote for whufc.com: "We also saw a fantastic debut from Victor Moses and we knew when he came into the squad that we were signing a quality player. We want to give him an arena to perform on.

"You don't get a new contract at a big club like Chelsea unless you are something special and he just needs game time now.

"He was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet and was inches away from getting the second goal. "
