West Ham United co-owner David Gold wants Ravel Morrison to prove his ability this season.
The controversial midfielder, 19, was fined for tweeting a homophobic remark in February.
Gold, who signed Morrison from Manchester United in January, said: "He is a great talent, it's time for him to step up to the plate."
