West Ham United chief Karren Brady has had a fresh shot at Soccer New Zealand over their treatment of Winston Reid.

Brady wrote in her diary for The Sun: "Winston Reid is returning to West Ham after a futile trip to New Zealand's international camp where it was discovered that, yes, he really does have back problems.

"And a lot of good 60 hours on an aircraft will do it.

"Defender Reid missed both World Cup qualifiers and suffered an ordeal that could easily have been avoided.

"Flying for that long is a shattering business and if the Kiwis didn't trust our judgment why not employ medics over here."
