West Ham United chief Karren Brady fears a move for LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham is off.

Brady wrote in her diary for The Sun: "It's true that Sam Allardyce is interested in signing David Beckham for West Ham but, typical of Sam, he points out "he'd have to prove his fitness like everyone else."

"I try to call Beckham's agent Simon Fuller and I'm promised he will ring me back.

"But he hasn't so far, so Becks may well be living up to his forecast that he will never play for another English club.

"My money is on Paris St Germain."
