West Ham to challenge Birmingham for Boca's Mouche

West Ham United have emerged as favourites to sign Argentina young gun Pablo Mouche.

The 23-year old Boca Juniors forward has previously been linked with Birmingham City but now the Hammers have put forward a loan deal which has reportedly been looked upon with favouritism by the famous Argentina outfit.

Birmingham were prepared to pay £12.5million for Mouche but the latest news to emerge has West Ham boss David Sullivan bringing him to Upton Park on loan if the player can obtain an Italian passport making him eligible to play in the UK.
