West Ham captain Nolan wants to do Liverpool favour

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan would love to do Liverpool a favour today at Manchester City.

Nolan was at Liverpool for five years until they let him go at 14 and now he could have a huge say in their first title since 1990.

He said: "I think I would be celebrating with them if they win the league. It's looking good in the fact that it's great to see Liverpool in that position on the last day of the season.

"If we can help them in any way, we've got a few boys who played there before with a few friends up there, it will be a nice way to finish off the season.

"I had a great few years there. There are people who are still there who taught me and who were coaching me at the time. Every time I go back I have a good rapport with the fans.

"I hope they do it. But first and foremost I just hope we get the points we want. It's keeping us in the position where we are and that's where we want to stay."
