West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign Barcelona midfielder Alex Song. The Telegraph says the Hammers are set to seal a season-long loan deal to sign Song from Barcelona.
Former Arsenal star Song is ready to choose a move back to the Premier League with the Hammers over Galatasaray and Napoli.
Barca will not receive a loan fee from West Ham and will continue to pay a percentage of Song's wages.
The move represents somewhat of a coup for West Ham, as Song was being chased by Turkish giants Galatasaray, who are in the group stages of the Champions League, and Europa League contestants Napoli.
Tottenham also showed an interest in Song, but were unwilling to commit to a transfer while they still retain a hope of signing Morgan Schneiderlin.
