West Ham United are expected to wrap up the signing of Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang early this week.
Samp president Massimo Ferrero has been in London this weekend for meetings with West Ham.
Sky Italia says Obiang is on the verge of completing his move for 6m (£4.4m).
The 23-year-old is a former Spain U21 international and was also interesting Inter Milan.
