West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola is lining up a £12 million bid for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo.

The People says Zola and Hammers sporting director Gianluca Nani have both identified the Italy playmaker as a target.

The duo have made an attacking midfielder their priority in the January window - but they know Montolivo will not come cheap.
