West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola has hinted Matthew Upson could be offered a new contract.

Arsenal and Manchester City were linked with Upson yesterday and when asked directly whether West Ham will look to fend off interest by awarding him a new contract, Zola said: "We will see in the next few days."
