West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola has hinted Ilan is playing his way to a long-term contract.

The Brazilian arrived from France in January on a deal to the end of this season.

But after two goals in the last two games, Zola told whufc.com: "Ilan has been doing very well. I am really impressed. The boy waited for his opportunity. He is using that now very well. He will start on Monday."
