West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola is set to go into the January market without any transfer funds.
The Times says Hammers owner Straumur is understood to have injected £5 million into West Ham last month, in order to ease some of the financial strain on the club, but it is not in a position to offer Zola funds to strengthen his struggling squad when the transfer window opens next month.
Straumur regards its immediate position as stable, however, with at least £7 million in broadcast revenue due to arrive from the Premier League at the start of next month.
