West Ham boss David Moyes is stepping up interest in Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker.
The Belgium international, 22, is a January target for the Irons.
And Moyes had his No2 Stuart Pearce make a scouting check on Anderlecht clash at Genk on the weekend with Dendoncker his prime focus.
HLN says Moyes and Pearce have acted on the recommendation of Hammers chief scout Tony Henry, who has been watching the midfielder this season.
The stumbling block, however, could be the asking price, with Anderlecht chief Herman Van Holsbeeck demanding "€20-25m" for Dendoncker to be sold before next week's transfer deadline.
