West Ham boss David Moyes won't have Javier Hernandez for his first three games in charge.
Chicharito is out for around two weeks with a hamstring injury.
The Hammers striker damaged his hamstring in Mexico's 3-3 draw with Belgium last Friday, and will be sidelined for Moyes' first game in charge at Watford on Saturday.
Chicharito, who was at Manchester United for the Scot's disastrous short spell at Old Trafford, moved to the London Stadium last summer from Bayer Leverkusen for £17million last summer.
He is also expected to miss the home game with Leicester City and the trip to Goodison Park to face Moyes' former club Everton.
