West Ham United boss Avram Grant admits he wants to keep hold of defender Tal Ben Haim.
The Israel international has been playing on-loan at West Ham from Portsmouth.
Grant told the Jewish Chronicle: "We very much want Tal to stay. We have a problem over his contract with Portsmouth but he is good for us, and if they agree we want to loan him until the end of the season."
If Ben Haim extends his loan, the Hammers will be restricted to just one more temporary deal this window.
