West Ham United boss Avram Grant's signing spree won't end with the deal for Tal Ben Haim.
The London Evening Standard says the new West Ham boss is anxious to strengthen his squad so that they avoid a repeat of last term's dismal start when, after beating Wolves on the opening day, they went a club record nine Premier League games without a win.
Former Chelsea defender Ben Haim has joined on loan until January despite the move being in doubt last week. A medical revealed a groin problem but West Ham then re-structured the deal and are now satisfied with the Israeli's fitness.
Grant is still looking for at least one more offensive player, a centre-half and a right-back before the season opener at Aston Villa.
