West Ham United boss Avram Grant has copped a series of transfer setbacks in the last week.
The Daily Star says Santos rejected their £12.5m bid for Brazil wonderkid Neymar and West Brom turned down an improved offer of £4.5m for highly-rated midfielder Graham Dorrans.
Grant has signed just one player, German midfielder Thomas Hitzelsberger.
His attempts to lure free agents Joe Cole and Thierry Henry failed and Martin Petrov snubbed him for Bolton.
