West Ham United are seeking talks with Aston Villa for midfielder Steve Sidwell.
Hammers boss Avram Grant regards Sidwell highly and knows the former Chelsea and Arsenal player is keen to return to London.
Grant plans an approach this week confident of landing Sidwell with Villa eager to find buyers for several of their fringe players.
