West Ham United boss Avram Grant has likened Victor Obinna to Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.
Obinna is impressing at West Ham on-loan from Inter Milan.
"It isn't easy in your first in England," said Grant, whose bottom of the table side host Manchester City on Saturday.
"It has happened to many players. I remember that Dennis Bergkamp wasn't so good in his first year when he joined Arsenal [in 1995].
"Victor is young, only 23, and he didn't play so much last year. It sometimes takes time to understand the game and how the English league is.
"Do we have an option to sign him permanently? Yes. All the players we signed [on loan] we wanted options on."
