West Ham United boss Alan Curbishley insists midfielder Scott Parker can win back his England place.

Curbishley said: "It's all about timing. This time last year Scott played for England in Croatia and had he been fully fit he might have been involved against Israel and Russia.

"He's more concerned at the moment about getting fit but it does give players a lift when they see others going into the England side from nowhere."
