West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has played down talk of a move for Bolton Wanderers striker El Hadji Diouf.

Curbishley watched Diouf in action for Senegal last week, but says: "I was there with Harry Redknapp, I was sitting next to Steve Bruce, Lawrie Sanchez was behind me.

"I think everybody was just taking the opportunity to go and watch these countries play."
