West Ham boss Alan Curbishley insists he'll have final say on whether Anton Ferdinand will complete his move to Sunderland.
Ferdinand, 23, is expected to complete the switch once personal terms are agreed and is out of Hammers' clash with Manchester City tomorrow with a hamstring strain.
But Curbs wants Ferdinand to stay at Upton Park and insists the final decision over the former England Under-21 star is down to him.
He said: "There has been a lot of speculation but he's definitely in my plans.
"Matt Upson and Calum Davenport are playing now but we've got three other defenders injured so the nearest one to getting back in the team is Anton.
"I will always have the final word on who comes in and out.
"I don't know if that happens at other clubs but here it does."
