West Ham boss Alan Curbishley insists Anton Ferdinand is not on his way to Sunderland.

"All this week Anton has been training trying to get himself fit," he told Sky Sports News. "That is as far as it goes for me. At this moment in time he is a West Ham player.

"Yes, I would like to think [he will be a West Ham player in just over a week's time].

"No [I don't want to lose him]."
